ABOUT US

Have a visit to the farm

Wholesome Farms is famous for its delicious, sweet, and juicy strawberries! At Wholesome Farms, we provide an authentic experience as you enjoy delicious, juicy strawberries “as fresh as it gets” at our pick-your-own fields. Picking strawberries is the perfect opportunity to learn about where our food comes from or to remind yourself just how flavorful fresh berries are supposed to taste.

Our strawberries are grown on raised plastic beds, which keeps the berries clean, and dirt-free and makes for easy picking

PICK STRAWBERRIES

Tips for your Visit

  • Secure a reservation. Reservations are required to come to the field and pick strawberries.
  • Dress appropriately. Consider wearing long sleeves if the serrated edges of the leaves tend to irritate your arms. Access to fields is generally easy, but appropriate shoes or sandals for outdoor walking and a hat for sun may also be good ideas.
  • For PYO, dress small children in red or dark colors. Then you won’t need to worry about the inevitable juice stains
  • Please follow signs and directions and respect farm property. We are concerned about the safety and welfare of everyone who visits our farm.
  • Please watch your children. Don’t let them trample the rows, climb on farm machinery, or wander off towards farm ponds or the road.
  • No pets are allowed in the berry field. For the safety and health of all, pets are not allowed in the berry field and must stay in the vehicle.
  • Care for your fruit on the way home. Don’t put your berries in the trunk of your car or leave them sitting in the car if it is sunny. Consider bringing an insulated cooler along.

Do's & Don'ts in Strawberry Picking

Do's in Strawberry Picking
  • Pick only the berries that are fully red. Part the leaves with your hands to look for hidden berries.
  • Select plump, firm, entirely red berries. Small berries are often the most flavorful.
  • Do not jump/walk on the plant beds please go through the walking path only.
  • Watch your knees – be careful not to crush plants or fruit in or along the edge of the row.
  • Help your local farmer remove berries showing rot, sunburn, insect injury, or other defects. Place them between the rows behind you – left in the plants, the decay will quickly spread to other berries.
  • Do gently rinse the berries only as you need them at home.
Don'ts in Strawberry Picking
  • Do not pick unripe strawberries. Strawberries do not ripen on their own once they leave the plant.
  • Do not pile them too high: Heaping strawberries more than 5 inches deep will bruise the lower berries.
  • Do not place picked berries in the sunshine longer than necessary. Cool them as soon as possible after selecting them.
  • Don’t wash the berries until you are ready to use them. Washing makes them more prone to spoiling. Pour them out into shallow pans and remove any mushed, soft, or rotting berries.

Farm is right next to highway. Strawberry 🍓 picking is pretty organised. ₹200 per person is the entry fee. ₹400 per kilo will be the strawberry cost. Pick as much as you want and get them weighed and pay before leaving. Entry fee needs to be paid in advance. Parking is available. Best time to visit would be before 11 AM. This time strawberries are of good size and healthy.

If u have kids at home and want to go to for a quality time i.e. picnic. This is perfect place. Away from city hustle and bustle this immense farm gives u enough room to freely move around and pick strawberries and flowers, And have a quite picnic lunch under a tree which u need to get as they don’t have any restaurants here.
